87th Cleveland Pipe Band

The 87th Cleveland Pipe Band is committed to professional presentation of the arts through the teaching, performance and competition of traditional and modern pipe band music. For over 15 years, the 87th has represented the Cleveland community with incredible success. We boast the largest list of teachers of pipe band instruments in the region, as well as one of the largest band programs in America. In order to raise the money necessary for operation, the band performs at events and holds several fundraisers throughout the year. Though the band is paid for some performances, band members are not paid for their talents; all fees paid go directly to fund the organization. But even after these efforts, there still remains a deficit. To make up the difference, members and their families must contribute as well.

Additionally, the 87th Cleveland Pipe Band counts on the support from individuals, corporations and other groups to compliment that of the members and their families.

The organization needs your support in the way of time and effort, as well as monetary donations. The 87th is registered as a Non-Profit 501 (c)(3) organization; all donations are considered a "charitable deduction". Also, many companies offer donation-matching programs. Corporate Donation Programs

This organization relies on the financial assistance of corporations to help us raise the funds necessary for professional operation. With most donations, your company will be offered an advertising listing at no additional cost. And since the 87th is registered as a Non-Profit 501 (c)(3) organization, all donations are considered a "charitable deduction".

	Hire the band for your next event. Need to add a little class and energy to a corporate function? Why not hire our pipe band to perform? The 87th is the perfect addition to a luncheon, meeting, cocktail or evening gala, retirement party or corporate picnic. For more information, visit the Hire the Band page.
	Support the band by attending our Fundraising Events. The 87th holds several exciting fundraisers throughout the year. Please visit our Events page for a complete and updated calendar. Flyers are also available, if you wish to post them on an office bulletin board. Spread the word!
	Advertise with us. We offer advertisements for businesses in many of our fundraising program books. In addition, we will soon offer an advertising program on this website. Check back soon for more information.

	Participate in Donation-Matching programs. Encourage your employees to donate. You may find that many of your employees support our organization already. Why not match their donation?
	Donate items that we may raffle off as a fundraiser. Does your company sell a product or service we can raffle off? Or, would your company be willing to donate any item at all? We are always in need of raffle prizes. These can be nearly any new item or service that can be used as door prizes, raffles at other fundraisers, or even large raffle drives. Please contact us to arrange to donate your item. Of course, as with most donations, this entitles you to not only a tax deduction but also free advertising!
	Donate items or services for band use. A large majority of the money we raise goes to purchase expensive uniforms, instruments and maintenance items for new and existing members. You can donate money for all or part of an instrument or uniform item, or donate certain new or used items. Why not sponsor a new member who needs a uniform or instrument? Does your company sell a product or service that may be of use to us? Contact us if you can help!
	Volunteer your time to help at an event. Besides monetary donations, the 87th Cleveland Pipe Band relies on the hard work of countless individuals to field this professional band. Thousands of hours of work are involved in order to handle the aspects of band business, fundraising, etc., in addition to the hard work of the musicians. Though everyone does his or her part, we can always use a helping hand.
